An overpowered, over-equipped PC integrated into a "simple" 27-inch screen?
The concept of the all-in-one machine is not new, but SEAVIV takes it to a whole new level.
In the world of mini-PCs, we often find very small machines - yes, we're talking about mini-PCs - with a fairly standardized form factor. There are a few manufacturers who have tried slightly more original approaches, such as the " PC under the desk " imagined by Senza, but as a general rule, the machine fits into a kind of square-based parallelepiped measuring around 15 centimetres on each side and 5 or 6 cm thick. The machine presented by SEAVIV attempts something very different.
Called the AidaONE R27, the PC in question remains a very compact machine, but there's no longer any question of connecting the case to a screen... all the components are effectively integrated into the screen... well, its base to be quite exact. And yet, despite the integration of a complete machine, the stand in question doesn't seem to have become inordinately large, and while SEAVIV doesn't give full details, it does speak of a thickness of just 15 millimeters, while all the most common connectors seem to be on the beast's menu: 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB-A 2.0, 1 USB-C, Gen 4, 1x 3-in-1 SD card reader, 1x 3.5 mm jack and 2x RJ45 2.5 GbE. Best of all, all this is organized around a formidable processor, AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395.
This chip features 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and 40 RDNA 3.5 (Radeon 8060S) GPU computational units, enough to cope with just about any task, especially since the only configuration SEAVIV seems to have chosen features 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM soldered to the motherboard. There's also talk of two 2280 M.2 NVMe slots, one of which is occupied by a 2TB SSD. Since we're talking about a PC integrated with a display, it's worth mentioning the 27-inch IPS technology panel that completes the offering: it's 4K (3840×2160), but is limited to a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Finally, and this is perhaps where many people will take issue - beyond the lack of upgradability/repairability of such a machine - the machine is advertised in China for 21999 yuan, which comes to - without import fees, currency exchange charges and taxes) more or less 2700 euros. Yes, it stings.
