It's now official: Battlefield 6 will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on October 10, 2025.
The Battlefield franchise has been thrilling fans of multiplayer, first-person shooters for over twenty years. Battlefield 1942 was actually released on September 20, 2002, and so it's almost 23 years to the day that Battlefield Studios and publisher Electronic Arts will be releasing Battlefield 6, which is actually closer to being the tenth opus in the franchise, but we won't hold it against its creators too much if the game is as successful as the first videos released when the launch date was made official seem to promise.
As good news never comes alone, Electronic Arts took advantage of the announcement to clarify a number of aspects of the game, and to do things justice, two further videos have been released detailing character classes, game modes, the arsenal available to players and the maps available at release, so that friends... and total strangers alike can enjoy the slaughter!
Ahead of the October 10 release date, Battlefield Studios and Electronic Arts are organizing not one, but two large-scale tests with the Battlefield 6 open beta. The beta will be open to everyone and will take place over several days: first from August 9 to 10, then from August 14 to 17. Two chances to discover the game's gameplay and check whether your machine is muscular enough to run a game where physics and destruction management promises to be incredible. Electronic Arts has also published the system requirements for this open beta.

Please note that these are not yet the recommended configurations for the game's launch, although it's a safe bet that the minimum requirements will hardly change. On the other hand, it's more than likely that Electronic Arts will add at least one configuration level in order to upgrade the game to a higher definition, such as UHD (3840 x 2160).
