When Microsoft abruptly withdraws the Windows 11 24H2 preview
Update 24H2 is a major evolution of Windows 11. Its release is scheduled for autumn... if all goes well!
Not so long ago, it looked as though Microsoft was heading for a Windows 12 release later this year. The changes to the American firm's operating system were supposed to be so significant as to impose a kind of break with the past. However, this will not be the case, and on the contrary, it's a "simple" update to Windows 11 that Microsoft has been working on for several months now. "Simple" isn't the right word, as Microsoft has so many changes planned for its OS, and this is perhaps a problem for the group chaired by Satya Nadella.

I just saw that 24H2 rollout is paused in Release Preview, what's the reason I wonder if you can share of course

For a few weeks now, the Windows 11 24H2 preview version has been available to members of the Insider program. These users, who have a front-row seat to the innovations introduced by Microsoft, have been able to download and try out this update, but are not in a position to detail their user experience. One thing is certain: the 24H2 update isn't going too well, as Microsoft has blocked downloads without giving any explanation. It is no longer accessible to anyone, and we have no idea how long it will be before it is available again.
I don't have anything more to share beyond what's in the blog post and that we are working to get it rolling out again shortly.

Following several comments, Microsoft confirmed, explaining: " We are temporarily suspending the deployment of Windows 11, version 24H2 on the Release Preview Channel. We will resume deployment in the coming weeks ". Neowin 's Taras Buria sought to find out more, but on questioning Brandon LeBlanc of the Insider branch, he didn't get any further clarification, the latter simply stating: " I have nothing further to share beyond what's contained in the blog post and we're working on relaunching it shortly ". In the absence of official word, we fall back on rumours of major bugs to justify this interruption. Will this delay the actual release of the 24H2?
