Thanks to a few leakers, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer was released a few hours ahead of schedule.
Promises made, promises kept, but a little early. Not expected until December 5 at 3 p.m., video game fans were treated to what is undoubtedly THE trailer for the end of the year, half a day early. Rockstar Games certainly knows how to create a stir. History repeats itself: Grand Theft Auto V caused a minor earthquake in the videogame world, and Grand Theft Auto VI is even more striking. In the space of just one day, the 91-second video was viewed more than 100 million times! That's how much anticipation the game has generated.
Aesthetically as well as technically, this trailer is a marvel. It shows a vastly modernized Vice City, featuring all the revolutionary changes that have taken place on the Internet since the release of the previous opus: influencers, Instagrame and TikTok are clearly visible. Vice City is also the scene of numerous exactions: Rockstar Games' favorite playground, after all, is criminal activity. Interestingly, we'll be playing a duo of protagonists inspired by the legendary Bonnie & Clyde duo. This time, we'll be playing as Lucia and Jason, although it's not clear to what extent we'll have a choice of characters.
At the end of this video, it's impossible not to say "I can't wait"... unless, of course, you're allergic to the very concept of Grand Theft Auto! But there's no need to get too impatient just yet. In fact, Rockstar Games has confirmed the release window already envisaged: " sometime in 2025 ". That's a long way off, of course, but it's also a particularly vague window, and we can well imagine waiting another two years to discover Grand Theft Auto VI... on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Indeed, Rockstar Games hasn't even mentioned the PC version. Does this mean that nothing is planned for our machines? No, let's just say that the studio is taking its time and, as with all its previous games, is likely to make PC gamers wait another year.
