After months of leaving NVIDIA without any real opposition, AMD seems to finally put its RDNA3 graphics architecture back on the scene.

Last December, AMD launched its first RDNA3 generation graphics cards on the market. In doing so, the company was responding to NVIDIA's Ada Lovelace cards, which had already been on the market for more than two months with its GeForce RTX 4090 and had just released the GeForce RTX 4080 while preparing the launch, a few weeks later, of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. To counter these three GeForce models, however, AMD only had two graphics cards: the Radeon RX 7900XT and RX 7900XTX. More embarrassingly, since this release in December, it's been dead calm at AMD.

Well, it was a dead calm because a conference call just revived the machine. With the publication of its latest financial results, AMD has indeed presented its roadmap for the coming months, as it is customary to do, to reassure investors and analysts. In this case, it is obviously Dr. Lisa Su, CEO of the AMD group, who took the floor and came back on the future of RDNA3 graphics cards. The boss simply explained that " the RDNA3 mainstream range will be released during this quarter ". By " mainstream ", Dr. Lisa Su means cards that are cheaper than the Radeon RX 7900XT and RX 7900XTX, i.e. under 700 euros: it seems clear that AMD has the GeForce RTX 4070 and, even more, the next GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, in its sights, which could give us a nice duel.

Indeed, several rumors echo the latest official announcements from NVIDIA on one side and AMD on the other. In the first case, we are obviously talking about this GeForce RTX 4060 Ti which could well make the first price Ada Lovelace under the bar of 550 euros. NVIDIA is said to be on the verge of sending test models to the press, and they could go on sale on May 25. On its side, AMD would have the idea to distribute the Radeon RX 7600XT between the end of May and the beginning of June. Of course, these same rumors evoke relatively close technical specifications between these two cards: the question of price remains.
